- I studied science, which was super-interesting and full of fun people: I was working at CERN in Switzerland when they turned on the atom-smashing LHC.

- I have worked as a garbage analyst (smelly), patent translater (slow), Santa's helper (fun), editor of Scientriffic (awesome), editor of iSGTW (busy), performer in the Shell Questacon Science Circus (noisy) and mother (yikes).

- As a feature writer, I’ve researched giant wetas, DNA technology, women’s boxing, Japanese paragliding, killer tomatoes, trends in tea...you name it!

- I have a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication, and a Masters in Professional Communication.

- My first ever article is about ear wax and most people visit this site after Googling "sticky ear wax".

- I won two colouring-in contests as a kid and now I love to enter awards and competitions. You can check out other achievements here.

- I work as a freelance editor and writer of magazine features, popular science and childrens books.

Unizul
Me working in South Africa with the UniZul Science Centre and Science on the Move.
Ogasawara
I learned to scuba dive here, in Japanese! In this shot I am behind the camera, researching an article on the tropical islands of Ogasawara, Japan.
CSI
I love detective stories and thought forensic science might be the career for me... Then I visited the forensic science class at the University of Canberra and changed my mind. Blergh!
