Hello there!

Hi! I’m Cristy Burne.

Thanks for popping in.
I hope you stay for a while.

I’m an Australian science writer, teacher and editor, and author of adventure fiction for kids. I’m a huge fan of STEM and STEAM and being outdoors and having adventures, and I’m keen to share my passion for science with anyone who will listen 🙂

Invite me to visit your school.

I have degrees in biotechnology and science communication. I’m a past editor of CSIRO’s Scientriffic magazine for kids, Fermilab and CERN’s iSGTW, and Scitech’s Particle. I’ve also helped create museum exhibitions, written feature articles for countless magazines and newspapers, and toured with the Shell Questacon Science Circus.

I teach at Curtin University, am the Assistant Regional Advisor for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators for Australia West, and I’m always working on my next book.
