Grab a copy of the West Australian on Tuesdays in Term 4 and you’ll be swept up into the adventures of Harry and Deepika as they navigate WA’s own Bibbulmun Track in my latest novel for kids, Off The Track.
Off The Track was recently shortlisted for the 2019 Wilderness Society Environmental Awards for Children’s Literature and I’m so proud.
An abridged chapter of the story will be featured in ED! magazine each week, along with a full-colour version of illustrator Amanda Burnett’s cute-as illustrations.
The first week comes with a short interview, which we managed despite being on a four-day bike ride along the Hauraki Rail Trail in New Zealand’s North Island. It was a really terrific adventure — we saw a million cows and were so lucky with the weather. Hardly a headwind to be felt and only a few drops of rain. Hooray!!
Where ever you are, I hope you’re planning your next adventure! It’s time to hit the trail 🙂
Thanks to Denis Knight for sending me these pics…I’m actually in NZ for the next three months, so will miss out on seeing ED! magazine in the newsprint each week. I hope you love it!
